During the 1940s, military hero Don Winslow was the star of a comic strip, a movie serial and a popular radio show in addition to this Fawcett comic. Nazi U-boats target the US war effort by trying to corner the world sponge market, leading Don into battle with The Sponge Pirates of Poco Kayo. Don and Red are assigned to find out who is killing US Marines in South America. Don leads American and Chinese forces in an invasion of the Japanese mainland, which was then believed to be an inevitable event in those pre-atomic days.
