Cover features Kay Aldridge from the movie serial Perils of Nyoka. Stories and art by John Martin and Bert Whitman. Raised in the jungle by her scientist father, Nyoka faces its dangers like no man ever could. In a three-part story, Nyoka is hired to find General Sherwood, who seems to have gone power-mad and established his own kingdom on remote Togangi Island. The basic plot, in fact, is eerily similar to the plot of Heart of Darkness, or the classic film Apocalypse Now, which was made more than 25 years later. The Togangi Plot, Chapter I: The Mysterious Commander; Colonel Corn and Korny Kobb: Stage Struck; Big Bow and Little Arrow: The Unlucky Question; Chapter II: The Strange Plantings; Web of the Witch Doctor; Chapter III: The Barbed-Wire Trap. 32 pages, Full Color. Cover price $0.10.
