Meet Woodrow "Bingo" Wilkin III, popular student at Midville High School, who goes steady with girlfriend Samantha Smythe and is also lead vocalist and guitarist in his pop rock group The Bingoes. This humorous teenage series was similar to the Archie series that the same company published. The Heart Doesn't Lie, script by Frank Doyle, pencils by Dan DeCarlo, inks by Rudy Lapick; Samantha tells us the story of how her father tried to push her away from Bingo and toward Teddy, and how her mother managed to set things right. Mood Madness, script by Frank Doyle, pencils by Gus LeMoine; As part of his homework for an acting course, Bingo has to be churlish and unpleasant for four hours, followed by four hours of nonstop smiling. Mr. Smythe's Clean Scene, script by Dick Malmgren, pencils by Gus LeMoine, inks by Rudy Lapick; Outside a chemical factory, Mr. Smythe finds his daughter, Bingo and Teddy protesting against pollution, leading to an argument about environmentalism, picketing, and the dangers that big business is inflicting on the planet.
