Synopsis Set "years ago", young Jimmy Olsen is selling extra newspapers on the street. The "10" is operating in Metropolis, and have killed Jimmy's guardian, his neighbor Tess Haslip. She had accounting books that they want. The 10 is after Jimmy thinking he may know where the books are, so he's been living in the Planet's basement to hide. They find him and kidnap him. Superman tracks them, but they trap him. Jimmy frees him, and they clean up the gang. Jimmy is hired as a copy boy at the Planet, and becomes Superman's pal.
