Synopsis While Wonder Woman wrestles with her new feelings for Superman, preparations are being made for a charity fair in her name. Meanwhile, Solomon Buchman takes Maxine Sterenbuch captive and explains that her pen pal Valerie Beaudry has been the subject of an experiment and given mutant sonic disruption abilities and that Henry Cobb Armbruster has nefarious plans for her. These plans come to fruition at the fair, where Valerie attacks Wonder Woman as the Silver Swan
