Watchmen - Odinson takes a look at a modern day classic

Watchmen – Many words have been used to describe this story – epic, groundbreaking, the best, grand, eye-opening, modern day classic, and masterpiece.  These words have been used to describe many stories in the comics industry and in some cases it is fitting (others, not so much), but with Watchmen these words almost do it justice.  Before Kingdom Come, JSA: The Golden Age, and Earth X, in 1986, Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons created a tale that set the standard by which all other comics that followed would be measured.

Odinson Gears Up for The Dark Knight with Batman Begins

Every time Spider-Man gets a new cartoon or comic series there is always the obligatory origin tale. I understand why this is done (there are new people picking up comics everyday) it’s just that I’m personally bored with it. It was for this reason that I probably screened Batman Begins with a jaded sense of expectancy. However, in the wake of Iron Man, which is an origin tale and the best super-hero movie since the Christopher Reeves Superman, I decided that I needed to re-watch Batman Begins with an open mind.
