"Ransom," art by Syd Shores; The Black Rider is riding through the range when a young boy ties him up with a lasso and pulls him off his horse Satan; The boy then takes the Black Rider's guns and demands that the hero give him all his money. Untitled story, art by Joe Maneely; The Ringo Kid happens upon outlaws chasing after a young girl trying to rope her up with a lasso and comes to her rescue, sending her attackers fleeing; After convincing the girl that she means no harm, he learns that they were trying to capture her to hold her ransom from her father and the Ringo Kid convinces the girl to let him take her home the rest of the way. Untitled story, art by John Severin; The Ringo Kid is going to the grave of his mother Dawn Star to meet with his father and stops an outlaw named Jack Hines, who is a known to work with Blast Banyon, from assassinating Cory Rand; With Hines incapacitated, Cory tells his son that Blast Banyon is likely seeking to eliminate them both in order to claim the land that is still under his name; The pair then tie Jack to his horse and send him back to his boss. "Hostage!", art by Fred Kida; The Ringo Kid is riding along the trail when he is met by his lifelong friend Dull Knife rushes to him to inform him that the army has captured the father, Cory Rand; The pair then rushes off to rescue Cory; However not far away the wagon that is carrying Cory as a prisoner is under attack by a Jake Saterlee and his gang who have come to rob the weapons and supplies on the wagon. Untitled story, art by Fred Kida; As the Ringo Kid rides along the range, two men armed with a rifle take a shot at him; Hearing the shot, the Kid pretends to be struck and tumbles off his horse; The men search him and are angry to find that this wasn't the mail carrier they were looking for; The Ringo Kid suddenly springs to life and easily disarms the men, demanding they explain what is going on. "End of the Trail," art by Fred Kida; The Ringo Kid is pursued by soldiers, of whom he does not wish to fight against; His flight is stopped when he's cornered in a canyon with nowhere to go; To his surprise the soldiers have come for his help, not to apprehend him; He is brought to Fort Sierra to meet with Colonel Pierce. "Duel At Dawn," art by Fred Kida; The Ringo Kid is riding along a mountain pass when he comes across a man hanging on for dear life on the remains of a collapsed rope bridge; With the help of his horse Arab, the Ringo Kid swings down and pulls the man to safety; The old man thanks the Kid for his help and introduces himself as Matt Carmody, the circuit judge for the district. "One Hour Truce," art by Joe Maneely; The Ringo Kid, his father Cory Rand, and his Comanche friend Dull Knife roll into the town of Nogales; Their arrival is seen by some outlaws who go to warn their boss Jag Fresco who orders his men to arm up and keep the Kid and his friends off his back; The Kid is confronted by some of Jag's men, but he easily disarms them and goes to see Fresco. "The Phantom of Coronado!", art by Joe Maneely; The Ringo Kid goes to visit his friend Joe Hammer, a local blacksmith in the town of Coronado, when his friend is suddenly shot dead, but oddly enough there is no sound of a gunshot; The locals tell him that it was the work of the so-called Phantom Gunman. "Man-Killer!", art by Joe Maneely; While in town the Ringo Kid is surprised when his horse Arab suddenly attacks a man named Morley and his men seemingly without provocation; When they try to shoot the stallion, the Ringo Kid shoots the guns out of their hands; When the sheriff arrives, Morley presses charges and the sheriff has no choice but to order the Ringo Kid to pen Arab pending trail. However when the sheriff arrives, the Kid has to defend himself from being implicated as a crime and is locked up as a material witness in insure that he does not flee; Ringo is partnered in a cell with Johnny Tumbleweed, a reformed outlaw who tells him that Chet Guthrie was the reason why he was locked up in jail as well. "The Ghost of Sam Magee," art by Joe Maneely; In Gila City, Spotting a stage coach that is out of control, the Ringo Kid rushes after it; But as he grabs hold of the reins an eerie voice orders him to let go of the reins or die and the Kid lets go an narrowly avoids getting trampled; Meeting with the sheriff who was also after the coach he tells his experience and is told that Jake Grimley, the man who was scheduled to ride the stage, said the same thing when the horses suddenly started to run wild. "Make Every Bullet Count," art by Joe Maneely; In the town of Powder Keg the Ringo Kid is heading back to the stable to collect his horse when suddenly someone starts shooting at him; Whirling around he is surprised to find that it is Buzz Drury, who was testing to see if Ringo is still as fast as he remembers. "The Pirates of the Plains," art by Joe Maneely; The Ringo Kid, his father Cory Rand, and his Comanche friend Dull Knife ride into the town of Stampede; They are spotted by men under the employ of a gambler named Pecos and they go to warn their boss; When the Ringo Kid and his companions arrive outside the gambling hall, Ringo tells them to wait outside to keep people from interfering with his confrontation; Ringo then confronts Pecos and orders him to return the property he stole from the local Pawnee tribe. 36 pgs., full color. "Thundering Herd" text story, art by Gene Colan. "The Wreckers," art by Joe Maneely; The Ringo Kid, his father Cory Rand, and Dull Knife cross paths with the Shilo gang who are herding horses and they identify that horses have been stolen and use force to take the stolen horses; They then follow the back trail and reunite the stolen horses with their proper owners, a group of religious homesteaders who are looking for new land to settle in. "The Coward," art by Joe Maneely; Outside a casino in Longhorn the Ringo Kid watches as a man backs out of with guns blazing. The Kid recognizes him as Zack Bolt the fastest gun in the region and wonders why he has backed out of a fight; When Ringo asks him why he backed out of a fight, Zack tells the Kid that he refuses to use his guns ever again.
