Untitled story, art by Joe Maneely; The Ringo Kid happens upon outlaws chasing after a young girl trying to rope her up with a lasso and comes to her rescue, sending her attackers fleeing; After convincing the girl that she means no harm, he learns that they were trying to capture her to hold her ransom from her father and the Ringo Kid convinces the girl to let him take her home the rest of the way. "The Challenge" text story. "Gold Rush!", pencils by Dick Ayers, inks by Ernie Bache. Untitled story, art by Joe Maneely; The Ringo Kid is fleeing from the law and runs into a dead end; Unwilling to bring himself to fight it out with the law the Ringo Kid contemplates committing suicide when somebody sneaks up behind him and knocks him out; Soon the lawmen chasing him arrive but find no trace of the Ringo Kid, the outlaw hero having seemingly disappeared. 36 pgs., full color. "Vengeance Trail," art by Joe Maneely; Coming across a wanted poster offering a $5000 reward for his capture dead or alive, Ringo Kid just barely avoids getting his head blown off by a young boy with a rifle; Realizing he has missed his shot, the young lad is frightened by the Ringo Kid, but soon realizes that the famous outlaw is not as bad as the wanted posters make him out to be. "Capture Or Death," art by John Severin; With the law on his heels after being framed for a coach robbery he did not commit, the Ringo Kid rides to the edge of a cliff; With no escape, the Kid decides death over capture and climbs off his horse Arab and jumps off the cliff. "The Return" text story. "The Chase," pencils by Bob Forgione, inks by Jack Abel. Untitled story, art by John Severin; The Ringo Kid is going to the grave of his mother Dawn Star to meet with his father and stops an outlaw named Jack Hines, who is a known to work with Blast Banyon, from assassinating Cory Rand; With Hines incapacitated, Cory tells his son that Blast Banyon is likely seeking to eliminate them both in order to claim the land that is still under his name; The pair then tie Jack to his horse and send him back to his boss. "The Marshal and the Outlaw," art by John Severin; The Ringo Kid is riding along the plains when suddenly a buffalo charges at him; He tries to shoot the beast with his rifle, but it dry fires; Before the outlaw hero can be trampled to death, the buffalo is shot dead by a US Marshal who has come with a warrant from Dry Creek for the Ringo Kid's arrest. "Desert Treasure" text story. "Man of the West," pencils by Bob Forgione, inks by Jack Abel. "Man-Trap," art by John Severin; The Ringo Kid rides into the town of La Paz where he suspects that he is being followed; Tying up his horse Arab in order to get supplies, the Ringo Kid is confronted by a pair of men who tell him his father is in trouble and give him a letter that Cory Rand apparently wrote to his son asking for help; The Ringo Kid takes it and leaves, but questions why his father would write him a letter and entrust it to strangers. 36 pgs., full color. "Black Sunset," art by John Severin; The Ringo Kid is riding across the range when he comes across a pair of men who have been blinded by some strange flash of light; The Ringo Kid hears their strange story and helps lead them to the town of Powederhorn where the outlaw hero is chased away by the sheriff. "The Iron Horse" text story. "Roundup," art by Dave Berg. "The Renegades," art by John Severin; The Ringo Kid witnesses what appears to be a war party of Comanches descending down on US soldiers; The Ringo Kid lends a hand fighting off the attackers; In the aftermath of the battle he learns that the Comanches were after rifles and ammunition that the soldiers were carrying in their caravan. 36 pgs., full color. "Deadly Ambush," art by John Severin; The Ringo Kid stops after a long ride stops to get some water; His horse Arab is strangely tense but Ringo dismisses any danger and drinks the water; However, to his shock he suddenly goes blind, and as he stumbles around someone knocks him out from behind. "The Tarnished Badge," art by John Severin; The Ringo Kid is camping out for the night when he is ambushed by a gang fresh out of prison who rob him; When Ringo suspects that the law is hot on their trail, the outlaws tell them that they are going to the town of Stampede where word is the sheriff has gone coward. 36 pgs., full color. "The Hostage," art by Fred Kida; While riding across the range the Ringo Kid realizes that he is being followed and puts on a chase; Unsure if he is dealing with lawmen or not, the Kid jumps up into a nearby tree and sends Arab ahead to lead his pursuers on a wild goose chase; As the men pass by, he recognizes one of them as an outlaw named Blackjack Kane, but notices that they are wearing sheriff stars. "Trail of Thunder" text story. "The Poachers!", art by Fred Kida; The Ringo Kid comes to the aid of his friend Dull Knife who has been tied up by and places on his horse by a gang of poachers led by a man named Tarlowe; The Kid sends Tarlowe and his men into fleeing and frees Dull Knife; He learns from his friend that Tarlowe and his men have been poaching buffalo on Comanche land which threatens to send the Comanches on the warpath. "Desperate Hour!", art by Fred Kida; The Ringo Kid is camping out for the night when he is suddenly interrupted by Sheriff Gil Ransom, who has not come to arrest the Ringo Kid, but to ask for his help; He explains that his sixteen year old son Joe idolizes the Ringo Kid and wants to become an outlaw. "Stranger in Town!", script by Stan Lee, art by Al Williamson and Angelo Torres. "One Must Die!", art by Fred Kida; The Ringo Kid is riding along the rang when he hears a gunshot and goes to investigate; He comes across a man standing over a dead body and gets the drop on him; Refusing to let the shooter go, the Kid searches the dead man and finds a warrant written by Marshal Cameron to arrest Buzzard Brady for murder and take him to Yuma prison. 36 pgs., full color. "The Man from the Panhandle," art by Fred Kida; The Ringo Kid comes to the aid of a man along the Texas Panhandle who is being gunned after by the Darrow gang; Thanks to the cover fire that the Kid has provided, they managed to force the outlaws into retreat and the man thanks Ringo for his help; Darrow is furious over the Ringo Kid's interference and orders one of his men to trail the outlaw hero. "The Roundup" text story. "Hostage!", art by Fred Kida; The Ringo Kid is riding along the trail when he is met by his lifelong friend Dull Knife rushes to him to inform him that the army has captured the father, Cory Rand; The pair then rushes off to rescue Cory; However not far away the wagon that is carrying Cory as a prisoner is under attack by a Jake Saterlee and his gang who have come to rob the weapons and supplies on the wagon. "Fugitive!", art by Fred Kida; The Ringo Kid is having a meal when the owner of the inn warns the Kid that there are law men with a warrant for his arrest; While the owner distracts the law men, the Ringo Kid manages to escape by jumping out of an upstairs window and begins to ride toward the border. "Lawman!", art by John Romita. "The Plundered Stage!", art by Fred Kida; The Ringo Kid spots a stage coach out of control and rushes to its rescue, jumping from his steed Arab onto the stage horses and calming them down; The Kid learns that the coach was robbed by a gang of road agents; When a posse heads toward the wagon, the Ringo Kid tells them that he will try and recover the stolen gold and asks the coach drivers to not mention that he was there. 36 pgs., full color. "The Six-Gun" text story. "The Phantom Raiders," art by Fred Kida; While riding along the range the Ringo Kid spots a wagon out of control and rushes to stop it; Once he gets the horses to stop, the Kid finds that the stage is missing its riders and cargo; Finding this strange he decides to backtrack the stage to solve the mystery; The Ringo Kid gets to a nearby canyon when the sheriff of Fargo City and his posse catch up with him. "The Six-Gun Schoolhouse," art by Fred Kida. "The Silver Holster," script by Stan Lee , art by Joe Orlando. "The Golden Spur," art by Fred Kida; The Ringo Kid comes across an old fort build by the Spanish Conquistadors many years before; Seeing a fire raging around the building, the Kid rides out to see if there is anyone trapped inside; Ordering his horse Arab to dive over the flames he comes across a man named Pilar Juarez caught in the blaze; Pilar tells Ringo to recover the golden spur before a gang of outlaws can get it, directing the hero to the nearby armory where the spur is hidden in a cannon. 36 pgs., full color. "Man to Remember," art by Joe Maneely. "End of the Trail," art by Fred Kida; The Ringo Kid is pursued by soldiers, of whom he does not wish to fight against; His flight is stopped when he's cornered in a canyon with nowhere to go; To his surprise the soldiers have come for his help, not to apprehend him; He is brought to Fort Sierra to meet with Colonel Pierce. "Six-Gun Auction," art by Fred Kida; The Ringo Kid is riding through a tight pass when he is almost bowled over by two men racing their horses through from the opposite direction. In retaliation, the Kid shoots the straps off their horse saddles, but the men manage to stay on their horses even as the saddles slip away; Not long after they are out of sight the Kid runs into a sheriff and his posse who were after them. "Where Larabee Rode," script by Stan Lee, pencils by Al Williamson. Untitled story, art by Fred Kida; The Ringo Kid is on the run from a posse running to a dead end at a cliff high atop Spinner's Gorge; Unwilling to be captured, the Kid orders his horse Arab to dive into the raging river below, leaving the chasing lawmen to believe that the Kid drowned in the rapids; However the Kid and Arab survive and when they get to shore they continue to ride. 36 pgs., full color. "Duel At Dawn," art by Fred Kida; The Ringo Kid is riding along a mountain pass when he comes across a man hanging on for dear life on the remains of a collapsed rope bridge; With the help of his horse Arab, the Ringo Kid swings down and pulls the man to safety; The old man thanks the Kid for his help and introduces himself as Matt Carmody, the circuit judge for the district. "Calico Pony," art by Fred Kida; The Ringo Kid is in a saloon refilling his canteen when a young boy rushes in asking for help; The Kid tries to calm the boy, when suddenly a man comes bursting in and demands that the boy give up his Calico pon. "The Stranger!", script by Stan Lee, art by Dick Ayers. "Freeze Or Fight," art by Fred Kida; Arriving in the town of Bowstring, the Ringo Kid finds the sheriff and his posse waiting for him; The sheriff tells the Kid that the only way he will allow him into town, with his reputation, is if the Kid agrees to turn over his guns; With no choice, the Ringo Kid agrees and turns over his guns; He is spotted by two men named Lobo and Zack who decide to get a reputation for themselves even though the Ringo Kid does not have any guns on him. 36 pgs., full color. "Dead Man's Duel," art by Fred Kida; The Ringo Kid has agreed to face Cabe Tilden to duel it out in an enclosed area after he and Hank Sawyer swindled Jim Connor's ranch; They agree to clamp a kerchief between each others teeth, promising only to draw and shoot once they both drop it. "Vengeance Is Mine," art by Fred Kida; Sheriff Sam Kimball has been gunned down Gila Bass with the Ringo Kid coming to his side; As he dies, Kimball hands the Ringo Kid his guns and tells him not to get revenge against Bass, telling him that somehow he will get revenge himself, telling the Kid to hang up his guns in his office. "One Hour Truce," art by Joe Maneely; The Ringo Kid, his father Cory Rand, and his Comanche friend Dull Knife roll into the town of Nogales; Their arrival is seen by some outlaws who go to warn their boss Jag Fresco who orders his men to arm up and keep the Kid and his friends off his back; The Kid is confronted by some of Jag's men, but he easily disarms them and goes to see Fresco. Untitled story, art by Joe Maneely; The Ringo Kid spots a cattle fence that has been torn down and stops to mend it; He is stopped by a man named Ronson and his posse who accuse the Kid of trying to rustle their cattle. "Challenge In the Night," art by Joe Maneely; With his father arrested by the soldiers at Fort Cheyenne, the Ringo Kid races there and demands an audience with the commanding officer, however he is refused admittance into the fort; Forced back, the Ringo Kid calls on his friend Dull Knife and they plot to sneak into the fort; To do this, Dull Knife uses a small tree as a catapult to launch the Ringo Kid over the fort wall; The Kid then fights his way into the court room and insists that the charges against his father are false. 36 pgs., full color. "The Riders of Doom!", art by Joe Maneely; The Ringo Kid rides into a town and soon finds it under siege by the so-called Riders of Doom, remnants of the Union and Confederate armies who regularly come and raid the town; When nobody comes to the defense of the town, the Ringo Kid steps in and sends the Riders packing but takes one of their number captive. 36 pgs., full color.
