In a pre-Code adventure, Flash Gordon-like Dan Hastings battles the sinister Dr. Strange (no relation to the Marvel hero), who sends giant insects to attack helpless children. The adventure continues in a text story in this same issue, The Return of Dr. Strange. Rocketman bequeaths his flying suit to young Billy Wood after Billy's father disappears in the jungle, and Rocketboy is born. Steve "Globe" Trotter discovers that macabre shrunken heads conceal a diamond-smuggling operation, in a story featuring the notorious "injury-to-eye motif." Terrific cover by an unknown artist, possibly Charles Sultan.
