Just sitting here listening to my favorite music and browsing mycomicshop.com and had a few thoughts I'd like to pass on to you. I love you guys! You have just about anything I want in comics and if you don't, all I have to do is put it on my wish list and in a while, sure enough, I get an email that let's me know you have it. And I can't get over how you guys are so reasonably priced. What your prices tell me is that you really care about people reading comics and how much you love this media. Thank you for that. The shop nearest to my home is 30-plus miles from me. I did not get any of those feelings there. It was unfriendly and getting into this hobby at 37-years-old, I found them unhelpful. I'd like to tell you that the way your website is organized is very helpful to someone just starting out in comics. For all of the people at mycomicshop.com, thank you and keep it up. After three-plus years in this hobby, when people ask what the name of my shop is, I tell them, "Mycomicshop.com. They're the best place to shop in the hobby!" Sorry for geeking out. As opposed to ordering a comic that is described as "VF" and then hoping for the best (as required by one of your competitors), I can actually see large scans of the exact comic that I will receive! Hi guys, as a recent visitor to your Central Arlington Store (on 3/24/10), I wanted to praise store and staff. I am from Conway, Arkansas, which is just outside of Little Rock. I was so impressed by your staff. The assistant manager was there and he was incredibly nice and helpful. I had my seven year old daughter and three year old son with me. Your assistant manager was extremely nice to them, giving them free comics. They loved the free books and, along with the assorted books, toys, and sticker albums I bought for them, they left on Cloud 9. Your store looks terrific. I have traveled to New York a lot with my job and I think I have been in every hobby shop/game store/comic book store in the city along with pretty much every store in the Dallas area, as well as stores throughout Arkansas, Missouri, Louisiana, and Texas. Last count, I think in the last 15 years, I have now been to over 120 different comic/game/hobby stores and I have never been in one nicer than yours. I ran a Hobbytown USA franchise for several years and have been to dozens of other Hobbytown stores along with the comic book stores I mention above and I have a deep appreciation for a nice store when I see it, and I have never seen one any better than yours, be it a Hobbytown USA franchise, a game store, or a comic book store. Great job guys!!! Stores like your Central Arlington store and the staff in it along with all of the joy the comics bring me and my kids are some of the reasons I have been collecting for nearly 30 years. Keep up the awesome work.

I have been a customer of one of your competitors for over 20 years. I can remember ordering through their catalogs (pre internet). I would save up my meager allowance to buy an Uncanny X-Men #58 in VG condition, then wait like a loyal hound by the mailbox for three weeks until it arrived. So, yeah, it's been a long time with them. Having said that, and even though it pains me to say it, your competitor is no longer my online comic shop. You, MyComicShop, are now my source for comics. Both you and your competitor have fantastic inventories and prompt delivery, but what sets MyComicShop apart for me is what I get for my money. It's hard to not be a fan of Mycomicshop. You offer better prices under a fairer (is that a word?) grading system. And really, it's as simple as that. Especially in today’s economy, “more bang for your buck” is appreciated. Now, I haven’t been a customer for very long, but I just thought you should know that I’ve switched over, and I thought you should know why. Thanks for letting me rant.

Your search functions are better than many sites. Not only can I search to find my favorite character appearances, I can also search for my favorite artist/writer appearances (Jim Starlin). Dear Buddy and crew, I've been buying a pretty substantial number of comics from you over the past 6-8 months. I'll be the first to admit it's gotten a bit obsessive--note the number of orders, sometimes multiples per week! That's because your selection blows me away, and I've gotten the bug for Bronze Age keys and semi-keys. Anyway, I've purchased a nicer copy of Amazing Spider-Man 129 recently, and thought it might be time to retire my lesser (but still attractive) copy by trading it to you. I have a lot of mid-to-high-grade Copper Age material that I thought better of listing now, but I will upload later when I hope to have more "good stuff" to offer you. In the meantime, hope my current batch of comics will suit you. By the way, I belonged to your monthly sub service back in the early '80s when Miller's Daredevil was king--seems like a long time ago! Hi Buddy, I've been a customer for a couple of years with Lone Star Comics and purchased hundreds (if not thousands) of comics with you over that time through both your subscription service and back issue catalogue. I've been idle over the past month, but it's not because I've jumped ship or stopped collecting comics. Rather, higher education has come calling so I've had to make some cutbacks. Unfortunately, one of the hardest cutbacks I've had to make is my comic collecting. Before Mycomicshop, I struggled with other subscription services that delivered my comic badly damaged. I also had a very hard time finding quality back issues. But Lone Star Comics changed all that. I'd just like to commend you and your entire staff on the excellent job they've done. Your service is among the best I've received with anybody and hopefully you're wonderful site (and stores) will remain active for years to come. So thank you, and hopefully, after life has settled down a little, I'll be able resume my patronage.

I just received my first shipment from Lone Star Comics. What can I say but that you guys run a brilliant store! Your website is the most user-friendly I have come across. From searching through your vast stock to completing an order, everything is simply laid out and effective to use. Packaging is another strength. My shipment came half way across the world secure and undamaged. You guys could teach Amazon a thing or two. Finally, your customer service is brilliant. For example, two of the items shipped had defects and Beth, who I e-mailed with questions, was quick to respond, courteous and extremely helpful. Buddy, I just wanted to thank you for contacting me directly. I am inclined to think that the percentage of business owners/businesses that actually respond to their customers is in the minority, so I very much appreciate the fact that not only did you respond, but that you obviously spent time considering my letter and responding to it.
I would like it to be known that your website is outstanding, and is a primary reason I am active in reading and collecting comic books again. It's very convenient for me to look up any comic I can think of, get a picture and some background on it, and know that I have a price up front, and that it is a fair one.
While I appreciate traditional comic book stores, I no longer frequent them as I get better pricing, service, and availability through you.
I certainly understand the situation regarding the increase in gas prices, and how they have an affect on everything - I travel throughout New Jersey for work, and my reimbursements through work don't even cover the gasoline anymore.

I am a very satisfied customer. I was skeptical at first though; buying comic books online was a very big risk. You don't know if what the person advertises is in the same condition you think it should be in. Do they really even have the books they say they do, etc.?
