Issue has a feature on science fiction/fantasy writer Harlan Ellison's upcoming stint on the Incredible Hulk comic; Roy's Rostrum, a column by Roy Thomas with part three of his discussion of the upcoming Conan the Barbarian comic book; part two of a feature on a never before published Spider-Man newspaper comic strip by Stan Lee and Johnny Romita; an interview with Joe Sinnott; bios of Joe Sinnott and Harlan Ellison; article on the origin of Odin; "The Coming of the Avengers" Part 4 by Tony Isabella; Adventures of Osgood and Zelda photo feature; and more. According to Mark Evanier, who edited the special preview issue and issues one through four of Marvelmania magazine, two different copies of this issue exist. Evanier left the organization and the head of Marvelmania was so angry that he did a second printing of this issue with all references to Evanier removed.
