The Struggles of Slouch (1956). Although the cover describes the publication as "Cartoons About Texas A&M", virtually the entire book is sequential short stories, some in strip format, others in comic book format. The artwork by Jim Earle is quite effective and polished. Although no cover price is listed, an ad on the last interior page notes that additional copies are available for $1.00. The book relates the humorous perils faced by a typical College Station Aggie (apparently an ROTC student). Some or all of the contents may have originally appeared in a Texas A&M newspaper or publication. 92 pages w/cover, black and white on white paper stock, 6-in. x 9-in., no price listed on cover. Cover price $1.00.
