The final showdown between the Kingpin and the Schemer is here! The Schemer is shaken after escaping from the Kingpin's mansion last issue. So the wall-crawler is able to follow him easily and capture him! And then in order to collect the reward money, Spider-Man takes the Schemer to the designated high-rise apartment. But it's all a trick by the top crime boss in New York City! The Schemer's days appear to be numbered...until he removes his mask. The Kingpin is shocked. Vanessa Fisk is overjoyed. It's the third and final showdown between Doctor Octopus and the Amazing Spider-Man...in just as many days! However this time the wall-crawler has a special surprise for Doc Ock -- that might foul up his control of his mechanical arms! When the web-slinger and Dr. Octopus meet again in a rooftop clash, a crowd gathers below. Tragically, Doc Ock knocks the chimney off the roof...and it falls toward a young boy! However in heroic fashion, Captain Stacy saves the boy, but at a terrible cost to himself. Spider-Man rushes to help Gwen's father, but Captain Stacy's fate has been sealed.
