In the District of Columbia at the Lincoln Memorial, Animus strikes! And quickly the Sentinel of Liberty is on the defensive vs. this crazy creature! The Animus seems to be a powerful combination of prehistoric man and future man. However the strange villain vanishes just as Cap is about to win their first fight! The next day as Steve Rogers returns to New York, his passenger train is attacked by Animus! And round two between Captain America and the Animus begins! Cameo appearances by Nick Fury, Veda, and Senator Kligger Stivak. (Notes: Starting with this issue, the Falcon is removed from the cover logo. The title reads "Captain America" only.) 32 pages.
