When the Modular Man and Killer Shrike steal a cutting edge Microwave Cellular Condensor from Empire State University Technology Exposition, the Amazing Spider-Man and the blue-furred Beast must battle the two villains atop the Empire State Building, before the Modular Man absorbs enough microwave energy (from cable TV antennas) to become a god! Will the web-slinger and the off-duty Avenger scramble his signal? This issue was reprinted in Marvel Tales 240. Notes: Killer Shrike's next appearance is in Spectacular Spider-Man 57. The letters page replies (by Chris Claremont) indicate that there was another story written and drawn for the 24th issue of the Ms. Marvel (1st) series. That story was finally published 13 years later in Marvel Super-Heroes (2nd series) 10. 32 pages Cover price $0.40.
