Peter Parker is enjoying a boat cruise along the Hudson River with his fellow graduate students, when suddenly a flaming message appears in the sky summoning the Spectacular Spider-Man to the Statue of Liberty. The web-slinger thinks the message is from the Human Torch, but that assumption might just prove to be deadly! When the wall-crawler reaches Lady Liberty's torch, he doesn't find Johnny Storm; however, he does find the Frightful Four! The odds do not look good for your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man! Story continues in Fantastic Four 218. (Note: This issue was reprinted in 2005 in the trade paperback "Fantastic Four Spider-Man Classic.") 32 pages Cover price $0.40.
