Synopsis Superman locates the Toyman and discovers he is being turned into a machine by Brainiac and that Brainiac intends to launch all of humanity's missiles. While Batman forces Luthor to work with Grodd through the Martian Manhunter, other heroes keep the people in Scarecrow's city from harming each other. Fleeing, the Scarecrow runs into the Joker, who is angry for being left out of the villains' plans. Superman, Zatanna, Red Tornado follow Brainiac as he transfers from one host to another. Aquaman heads to Manta's city, where he fights to retrieve his son; Supergirl, Elongated Man, Metamorpho, Black Canary, and Green Arrow head to Poison Ivy's city to subdue her; and Batgirl, The Flash, Plastic Man, Wonder Woman, Hawkman, and Hawkgirl head to Cheetah's city to find her. Luthor, Grodd, and Martian Manhunter are able, using Sinestro's ring, to divert the missiles into the sun, with the help of the Green Lantern Corps, and Brainiac is trapped in his own spaceship.
