Characters The X-Men [Cyclops [Scott Summers]; Beast [Hank McCoy]; Wolverine [Logan]; Colossus [Piotr Rasputin]; Shadowcat [Kitty Pryde]; Emma Frost [White Queen]; Armor [Hisako Ichiki]]; S.W.O.R.D. [Abigail Brand; Sydren; Lockheed]; Dafi; Powerlord Kruun; Sylakin; Danger
Synopsis Kruun aide Sylatin, thought to be working with S.W.O.R.D. last issue is revealed to be loyal to Kruun and informing him of S.W.O.R.D.'s overtures. Emma taunts Danger, ultimately revealing that she knows that Danger's programming prevents her from directly killing anyone. Emma offers the defeated Danger a way out by helping them. Kitty and Piotr are relaxing in bed together, and Piotr wonders why Kitty is acting the way she is. She tells him that she's realized that happiness is fleeting so you have to grab it before it's gone. Beast is revolted that Kruun would slaughter his own people to stop them, and refuses to continue towards the base with Agent Brand on the grounds that it will be better to come at the moon itself with the whole team. Everyone, including danger, meets up with Sydren, Lockheed and the S.W.O.R.D soldiers. They begin the assault on the moon, only to discover that it is an entirely artificial construct designed to fire a 10-mile-long bullet at the earth. As fighters intercept them, Scott volunteers to take the one man repair craft to cover the main ship's escape, asking Emma to help him convince the team. She does, Scott takes the ship, and is quickly hit. The team makes their getawy while Cyclops floats dying in space.
