| Synopsis |
Five men are on an arctic expedition for Mr. Arkham. Their equipment quits working and they all want to stop the expedition but Connor, who works for Mr. Arkham, insists that they continue. They do continue and they find the ship that they were searching for. Inside they find the trunk that Mr. Arkham sent them for. Connor tells Horace that Mr. Arkham insisted that no one could open the trunk. He says that if the others can't keep their curiosity in check they'll wish they would have stayed on the boat. Flash forward three months and Connor is in a bar telling a girl the story of the expedition and he says he is the only one who made it back alive. He offers to let her see what was in the trunk and she foolishly goes back to the Arkham boarding house with him. When she opens the trunk Sysyphyx pops out and kills her, then takes over her body. She then bows to Nyarlathotep (the Crawling Chaos) who tells her that they need to prepare for the other arrivals. |
