| Synopsis | It is 1934, the time of the Great Depression, and Enrico and his family take a rare day off to relax at the beach; When his father walks off for a smoke and is gone too long, Enrico follows and watches in horror as his father runs from a cave with a baby dragon in a bag and the raging mother burns him to a crisp; After his father's funeral, mob boss Boccioni comes to Enrico's house and collects the baby dragon; Things are hard without a father and ten year old Enrico struggles at menial jobs to help his mother financially; Finally unable to contain his curiosity as to why his father died, Enrico sneaks into an arena where he finds a roaring crowd watching giant dragons battling to the death. |
