Synopsis Adam Strange teleports Kal-El, Tyr-Van, and Tam-Or to Kalanor and back to avoid execution. They are found again by Commander Gor, but he is prevented from a second attempted execution by the arrival of Zod and Ursa. After Adam leaves, Zod and Kal-El put their heads together and figure out the conspiracy. When confronted, Councilor Wri-Qin admits that the conspirators were working to undermine New Krypton's development so that Earth could more easily conquer it and once Earth had control of New Krypton the conspirators would be put in to rule as Earth's puppets. Wri-Qin was eliminating his fellow conspirators in order to get a larger share of the power. Disheartened by his fellow Kryptonians actions, Kal-El despairs for the future of New Krypton, a future made even bleaker by the arrival of Brainiac.
