Iceman's father is furious as he has engaged in a super battle in front of all of their relatives and destroyed the neighbor's house in the process; His mother lays on an even harsher guilt trip by telling Bobby that his father has a heart condition and all of this stress is only aggravating it; Bobby fiddles with a strange box he has found in the rubble of Marge Smith's house and finds himself mysteriously transported to 1942; A cop freaks out at Iceman's appearance and shoots him in the arm; Bobby awakens to find himself being nursed back to health by his parents, but forty years in the past; Just as he is beginning to see his folks as actual people rather than simply parental figures, they are attacked by the strange being, Kali; During the fight, William Drake tries to help Iceman battle the villain and is cut down; Bobby finds himself helpless as his father dies right in front of him, decades before he was ever born. |
