John Stewart, powerless after voluntarily giving up his power ring, is extradited to the apartheid nation of South Nambia for crimes attributed to him, but actually done by Hal Jordan. Stewart is cruelly beaten and interrogated by his jailers until Jordan returns his power ring. Stewart breaks out of jail and joins anti-apartheid revolutionaries who turn out to promote indiscriminate violence. Confronted by Jordan for the damage he is doing, Stewart has a change of heart and leaves for the stars. |
