Notes Lobo was the first black character to have his own comic book. Like the Lone Ranger he is wealthy but instead of silver bullets he leaves behind gold coins with the imprint of a wolf and an L. Like Zorro and The Phantom he leaves behind his mark impressing his gold coin emblem on the forehead of criminals. In an interview with Jamie Covill, Tony Tallarico confirms the writers and editor and that he was the creator of the character Lobo.

Notes I listed Lobo as the title because the character is actually un-named. He is dubbed Lobo the lone wolf by the men against him. He adopts the Lobo title and his real name is never revealed. It is very interesting that color is not mentioned in the story and people do not react to the fact that Lobo is black. This would be a better country if color could be ignored the same way in the real world.
