Synopsis Starfire returns to her apartment and is shortly greeted by a messenger carrying flowers from Dick. His note says that he's sorry, but he'll be away for awhile. She decides to go for a short flight to enjoy the day, and she surprises a helicopter along the way. Elsewhere, Harbinger explains to the New Guardians that she can't join them because she's worried that she might betray them again. They understand, and she splits into twenty Harbingers that fly off to search the world for meaning. They all wrestle with the fear that Harbinger will never have a normal life. She feels alone. Her clone's reverie is cut short by the Manhunters, who attack her. The clone quickly calls the rest of her selves to her. Starfire, still flying, sees one of the selves rush by her, and she follows. Harbinger is about to lose a self to the Manhunters when Starfire intervenes. They fight off the Manhunters, but Starfire discovers that one of them was a man. It reminds her of the time she attacked a Wildebeest and unknowingly killed the man within. Harbinger is captured by a Manhunter and held hostage. Starfire doesn't take kindly to his demands and quickly takes care of them all. Harbinger discusses her dilemma about joining the New Guardians with Starfire. Koriand'r explains how wonderful it is to be given a chance to help protect Earth's people and that life is a constant battle whether you are a superhero or not. Suddenly, a Manhunter blasts Starfire and confronts Harbinger. He calls her a failure, but she retorts that at least she's alive. She blasts away at him until he is destroyed. Harbinger thanks Starfire for the lesson, and she returns to the New Guardians, ready to go with them. Starfire returns to her apartment to cuddle with a picture of Dick Grayson, wondering how he spent his day.
