Synopsis Sand recalls how in 1944 the JSA faced dimension-crossing super-villain Johnny Sorrow and how he, as Sandy, accidentally sent Sorrow into the Subtle Realms. There, Sorrow met the King of Tears, who sent Sorrow back to Earth to pave a way for him to cross over. Thanks to the intervention of the Spectre, however, that plan was thwarted. But in the present, Sorrow successfully brings the King of Tears to Earth, and this time the Spectre is nowhere to be seen.
