7 page The Adventures of Bob Hope story "Tennis, Anyone? Part 1"

Synopsis Bob, looking for rent money, runs into a lovely young woman running a bank errand for her promoter father. Because of the run-in, she doesn't get to the bank before it closes, and Bob gallantly agrees to see her and her money safely home. At home, the father is concerned that he'll have to return the money, because he's not able to field an American tennis champion for a match against Blobonia. So Bob volunteers to come out of his "championship" retirement for the offered $10,000.
