Synopsis Rodrigo Diaz De Bivar, "El Cid," comes upon a town almost completely destroyed by the Moors. He captures the Moorish leaders, but releases them when given their promise never to war on Spain again. This earns him the anger of the King. To redeem himself he battles an enemy of the king. When he wins he is rewarded by being made leader of the king's army. One of the Moors goes back on his word and Rodrigo leads the king's forces in a massive battle at Valencia.
