Characters Kathie Thomas; Patricia Harlow; Walt Corby
Synopsis Kathie Thomas thought that her dreams had come true when she was hired as the personal secretary for Patricia Harlow, one of the top dress buyers in the city. Not long after she started, she met Walt Corby, a dress manufacturer who was dating Pat. But when Corby's business hit the rocks, Walt became persona non grata for Pat. Kathie decides to help Walt around the office, then passes on an idea of Pat's to Walt that turns his business around. When Pat invites Walt to dinner to "make up", Kathie can't resist telling Walt that Pat's a liar and a cheat... and that she has fallen in love with him.

Synopsis Parkville was a quaint New England town full of history. Some of the new history was the romance between Judy Dunn and Lee Sanders that was going great until Peter Byrnes arrived to write a book on the history of the town. Peter was different from Lee; he was quieter and more calm, but he was also much older. At first Judy was impressed that he found her so attractive but the more she saw him the more she felt. Still her friends made fun of her dating "the old bookworm". Trying to please her, Peter took her to a dance, but left when he found the music too loud. At first, Judy stays to have fun, but then runs after him realizing that he was "the one".

Synopsis Jennie Traynor loved to dance, and dreamed of being on the big stage. When talent agent Bill Ryan came to the small Virginia town offering auditions, her boyfriend, Pete, told her that this is the best way to grab her dreams. She entered and won the contest and as a prize Ryan offered to take her to the bright lights of New York. However, the only job Ryan managed to find for her was dancing in the chorus line of a sleazy club owned by Roy Tindal. Intrigued by her beauty and charm, Tindal took an interest in Jennie, and her dreams seemed to be coming true when he cast her to appear on Broadway in a play he is producing. But success has a big price and Jennie realizes her ill-made choices may cause her to lose everything she previously had, while gaining her little.

Characters Jean Davies; Burt Medford; John Davies
Synopsis Jean Davies is the daughter of the mayor's daughter and always in the public eye; too much so if you ask her father who insists that she stop being the headline in Burt Medford's gossip column. Jean goes to the newspaper office to have a stern converstaion with Medford, but instead finds him charming and accepts a date with him. Romance blossoms until Jean learns what kind of devious reporter Medford is, and she breaks up with him. As her father's election looms, Medford threatens to run a smear campaign against John Davies unless she returns to him. The mayor is re-elected, and when Medford comes to apologize, Jean will have nothing to do with it chosing honor over love.
