Characters Linda; Wayne Harrison; Tom Mitchell; Ellen Porter
Synopsis Linda was the "Gossip Queen", writing a column in the school paper. She had been dating Wayne Harrison until Tom Mitchell became the newest senior at Parkbury High. Swept off her feet, Linda fell hard for Tom, but he was put off by her public displays of affection. Soon, she saw Tom with Ellen Porter, and couldn't stand to think that she lost Tom to someone so drab and simple as Ellen. So, Linda began a campaign to ruin Ellen's reputation using her column. Believing the lies Linda had written, Tom broke up with Ellen and in a state of shock, she wandered off, lost in the woods. The group found her standing on the edge of a cliff. Running up to Ellen, Linda admitted that what she had written were all lies and Tom only cared for her. Once Ellen was safe, Linda turned to Wayne confessing that, after what she did, she didn't deserve anyone's love.

Walking home one day, she ran into Hank, who was in that clique. As they began to talk, Hank suggested that she might help Truck Ferris, the star tackle of the football team, pass his geometry exam to remain elegible for the team. She agreed, but only if Hank would agree to take her to the next "Laurels" dance and he readily agreed. The only curves or angles Truck wanted to study were Cynthia's and she gave up on him. At the dance, Cynthia overheard Hank's friends suggest that he was only dating her to help the team. Breaking down, she went outside, and Hank followed to kiss away the tears. Several weeks later, Hank asks Cynthia to help Truck to cheat. As much as she loves Hank, she doesn't want to do it, but agrees for him. On the day of the exam, Cynthia is about to help Truck, but can't follow through. After the test, Hank rushed to find Cynthia and tell her that he couldn't have repected her if she had helped Truck cheat. Taking her into his arms, they agree to hold each other forever.

Characters Stella; Ronny, Red
Synopsis Stella was one of the prettiest and most popular girls at Evans High, and always needed to be reminded of it. She demanded attention, dating as many boys as she could... until she met Ronny. Tall, handsome, and the captain of the basketball team, she fell head-over-heels for Ronny. They went steady, but when Stella asked Ronny to come to a party for her 17th birthday, he told her that he couldn't, that he had a big game the next day, and had to turn in by 9. Even though he tried to explain that, as captain, he had a responsibility to the other members of the team; she erupted and broke up with him. The next day, Red, the leading scorer of the team, asked her out and she promised him a kiss, only if he scored more points than Ronny. At the game, Red was shooting well, but with no teamwork, the team was losing. Realizing she made a mistake, she begged the coach to talk to them and explained what she had done. Working together, the team won, and Stella went up to the two afterwards. Fulfilling her promise to Red, she gave him a kiss, but told Ronny that, "from now on my lips are reserved for you."
