1st printing. Story and Art by Dave Chisholm. What begins as one woman's search for her own artistic courage unravels into a stunning look into what jazz music can teach us about our search for the truest versions of ourselves. For decades, seasoned players on the scene have spoken in whispered tones about The Blue: a mysterious meeting place for jazz history - a place where ghosts from this music's storied past spring to life for those courageous enough to enter. When Jessie Choi's mentor Jimmy Hightower collapses at a gig and loses consciousness, she finds herself reluctantly pulled back into the jazz scene she abandoned years earlier. In investigating the music and mystery behind Jimmy's comatose state, every thread leads to the same question: is Jimmy somehow trapped in this enigma known as The Blue? In her search to save her teacher, Jessie rubs shoulders with legends, uncovers the secret history of Blue Note Records, and faces her own deepest fears. Hardcover, 180 pages, full color. Cover price $29.99.

1st printing. Adapted by Paul Ruditis. Based on the story by Rick Berman and Brannon Braga. The Starship Enterprise NX-01 has carried its crew farther into the reaches of space than any human has ever travelled. Commanded by Captain Jonathan Archer, they have charted new stars, explored planets, and made first contact with many alien races. The Paraagan deep-space colony was just another first contact, unusual only in two aspects: it was a matriarchal society, and the planet's upper atmosphere was filled with a highly volatile gas. But the officers of Enterprise knew how to handle their shuttlepod, and they understood the Paraagan landing protocols. As the shuttlepod descended, they closed the plasma vents, certain that nothing could escape and ignite the gas. Thirty-six hundred colonists were vaporized in the blast. Every building, every living thing, everything on the surface was destroyed in the fireball. Could the Enterprise crew have caused the destruction? Recalled, Archer knows that the Vulcan High Command has convinced Starfleet of what they have long insisted. Humans are not ready for deep-space exploration. But these were not the events as history recorded them. No one died. Enterprise was never recalled. This is the startling information offered by the mysterious Crewman Daniels -- who claims to be from the thirty-first century and a foot soldier in the temporal cold war. Archer sets out to prove Enterprise's innocence. But time is a swiftly moving river in whose deadly rapids Enterprise is caught. Is there really anything they can do? Hardcover, 5-in. x 8-in., 244 pages, Text Only. Cover price $19.95.

Story and art by Landis Blair.
Inspired by the dark imagination of Edward Gorey, Envious Siblings is a twisted and hauntingly funny debut. Landis Blair interweaves absurdist horror and humor into brief, rhyming vignettes at once transgressive and hilarious. In Blair's surreal universe, a lost child watches as bewhiskered monsters gobble up her fellow train passengers; a band of kids merrily plays a gut-churning game with playground toys; and two sisters, grinning madly, tear each other apart.
These charmingly perverse creations take ordinary settings - a living room, a subway car, a playground - and spin them in a nightmarish direction.
Hardcover, 7-in. x 7-in., 240 pages, B&W.

1st printing. Story and art by Briana Loewinsohn. A debut graphic novel that poignantly blends memoir, magic realism, and graphic medicine. Ephemera is a poetic and dreamlike take on a graphic memoir set in a garden, a forest, and a greenhouse. The story drifts among a grown woman, her early memories as a child, and the gossamer existence of her mother. A lyrical entry in the field of graphic medicine, Ephemera is a story about a daughter trying to relate to a parent who struggles with mental illness. Gorgeously illustrated, it is a quiet book of isolation, plants, confusion, acceptance, and the fog of childhood. Hardcover, 6-in. x 9-in., 200 pages, full color. Cover price $24.99.

1st printing. Story and art by Carol Tyler. During collisions between life and death, estrangement and loss, Carol Tyler turned to her pen to face facts and extract meaning from the oddly sacred experience. Exploring realms metaphorical, half-imagined, and all-too-real, she explored previously uncharted emotional territory for herself and others, in a work that is both painfully intimate and philosophically rich.An artistic advancement nearly forty years into Tylers comics-making career, The Ephemerata features Tylers most breathtaking picture making ever — fine, dense brush lines complemented with occasional color washes or highlights — and formally stunning cartooning. Combining art and text in multiple ways — in the traditional comics panel grid, as words-and-illustration, as organically flowing images surrounded by floating text — she depicts the inner monologue of a fallible human being grappling with questions of profound relevance. Tylers memoirist skills also rise to the fore, excavating and colliding scenes from her history, delineating with sensitive intuition ways in which the inevitability of grief is built into our lives and our loves. To struggle in the face of loss is a universal experience. To turn it into this compassionate, deep and beautiful book takes a true artist. Hardcover, 9-in. x 12-in., 232 pages, B&W. Mature Readers Cover price $39.99.

1st printing. Written byLoo Hui Phang. Art and cover by Hugues Micol. Maximus Ohanzee Wildhorse, renamed "Maximus Wyld" by Hollywood, was a talented, prized, admired comedian. Of mixed race black, Chinese, and Amerindian descent, he was "the actor with a thousand faces," essentially interpreting ethnic roles: Indian chief, Mexican revolutionary, oriental dandy. His filmography is an anthology of cinema: Vertigo, The Maltese Falcon, Sunset Boulevard, The Prisoner of the Desert, Rebecca. However, no credits mention his name. On celluloid there is no imprint of his face. Maximus the precursor rests in the graveyard of Hollywood amnesia. What event pushed him into limbo? What occult and superior force has stored his career in a cinematic Bermuda Triangle? A veritable reinterpretation of the myth of American cinema through the prism of minorities, Erased reveals the political and social dimension of Hollywood productions. Hardcover, 8-in.x 11-in., 200 pages, B&W. Cover price $24.99.

Written by Dian Hanson. Art and cover by Eric Stanton.
Tracing the rise of commercial fetish art from its shadowy beginnings in the 1940s to its acceptance in the 1970s, this illustrated biography explores the unconventional life and art of Eric Stanton, a pioneering sexual fantasist who helped shape the movement. With more than 400 rare images and interviews with Stanton's family and closest associates, this biography chronicles the infamous circle of patrons, publishers, and cult icons populating his subterranean world, including Irving Klaw, John Willie, Bettie Page, Steve Ditko, and Gene Bilbrew. It is the untold, secret history of a misunderstood culture, the abuses of government authority, social intolerance, and gangsters. But above all, it is a tale about survival against all odds and an artist who had the courage to stay true to himself.

1st printing. By Tim Pilcher and Gene Kannenberg, Jr. Cover by Garyle (in the style of Bill Ward). Back Cover by Bill Ward. Foreword by Aline Kominsky-Crumb. This international survey of erotic comics chronicles a groundbreaking form of sexual expression up to 1970, the years when mainstream culture spurned explicit eroticism. In the 1930s, American ?Tijuana Bibles, little pornographic comic books that parodied popular comics and comic strips, were widely available. World War II gave a boost to erotic comics, especially illustrated pin-ups. This set the stage for men's magazines such as Playboy, which included racy cartoons from the beginning, and fetish comics. The flowering of the counterculture in the next decade gave rise to underground comics, whose acknowledged master was Robert Crumb. A parallel development occurred in Europe, where erotic comics like Barbarella were suddenly the rage. Erotic Comics tells this story with hundreds of illustrations, informative text, and insights from key artists, writers, and publishers. It's sexy, artistic, entertaining, intriguing, and informative. Hardcover, 10-in. x 10-in., 192 pages, PC/PB&W. Mature Readers Cover price $29.95.

While we love Snow White, Cinderella, Red Riding Hood, and the others, everyone knows them already. They've been done to death, spoofed, parodied, and reimagined to death. Many of the fairy tales we know today have been watered down as many have been considered too dark for today's children. Erstwhile is returning to the roots of these stories, telling five complete stories as they appeared when Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm published them. Hardcover, 6-in. x 9-in., 160 pages, full color. Volume 2 - 1st printing. "Playboy Trump: The Complete Collection!"
Harvey Kurtzman created the publishing sensation MAD and in 1956 could have played his strong hand into a lucrative equity deal with EC publisher Bill Gaines. Instead, he bolted from MAD to join another 1950's publishing sensation, Hugh Hefner and Playboy.
Hefner provided the format and big budget that Kurtzman had dreamed of. The resulting new color satire magazine Trump was lavish, ambitious and star studded, featuring Mel Brooks, Will Elder, Jack Davis, Wally Wood, Arnold Roth, Al Jaffee and Russ Heath, among others. Trump held enormous promise. But, for complex reasons, Hefner pulled the plug before the third issue was finished. For the first time in six decades, the legendary magazine is finally collected, featuring much never-before-seen art, including the surviving contents of the long-lost Trump #3. For comics archaeologists, this is a print version of King Tut's tomb.
With essays and annotations by Kurtzman expert Denis Kitchen that put the 1956-57 publication in context, this long-overdue collection will be a revelation to fans of Kurtzman and his crew of madmen, satire, and popular American culture.
Hardcover, 6 1/2-in. x 11-in., 168 pages, full color.

An introduction from Patrick McDonnell, a foreword by Jean Schulz, and appreciations and remembrances from key figures in the world of Peanuts make this book a unique milestone in Peanuts publishing.Seventy-five years since the first Peanuts strip made its debut on October 2, 1950, the beloved comic and its iconic characters remain a touchstone for generations around the world. From cultural milestones such as NASAs Apollo 10 lunar and command modules being named after Charlie Brown and Snoopy to the classic holiday specials that continue to draw millions of viewers, Peanuts has a lasting influence that few works of art or literature can claim. The power of these iconic characters is also evident from the popularity of modern-day animated movies and iPhone shorts, and even the Gen Z phenomenon of so-called Snoopy Girls. This official book celebration of the 75th anniversary of Peanuts is produced in collaboration with Peanuts Worldwide and the Charles M. Schulz Museum and Research Center in Santa Rosa, California. Not many cartoons live into the next generation, and that probably is the best definition of art, isn't it? Does it speak to succeeding generations? Real art, real music, real literature, speaks to succeeding generations. –Charles M.
