A messenger has interrupted Steve's class to let him know that, after six months of healing, Bucky is ready to be picked up at the hospital. The two have a tearful reunion after which they are gassed in a cab by one of the Trickster's henchmen. He takes them to a garage because the Trickster knows he can get to Cap through Bucky and releases Steve so that he can inform the papers in "Trapped by the Trickster!" with pencils by Gene Colan. (Note: Bucky's last 1940's appearance; introduction of the Trickster.)
