Photo cover of the Beatles. Stories and art by Joe Sinnott and others. Number on cover 07-059-411. One of the few comic books devoted to The Beatles that came out during the height of Beatlemania. A comics history of the Beatles to 1964, with individual chapters on John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr, from their early days in Liverpool to their first rush of international stardom. The art is by Joe Sinnott, the legendary inker of the Stan Lee-Jack Kirby run on Fantastic Four (another popular '60s foursome). Volume 4 - 1st printing. Written and illustrated by Basil Wolverton. In six volumes from Genesis to Samuel, Wolverton adapted the text of the Bible for simplicity and clarity and provided hundreds of b&w illustrations for the work. His unique style influenced a generation of artists in the Underground Comix field. These original six volumes were published from 1961-68 by Ambassador College.
