Booklet published by the Mississippi Board of Development containing "a collection of cartoons presenting information" about the state. Most are straightforward historical facts and statistical information in roughly a Ripley's Believe It or Not single-panel design format, but with additional commentary on each page. A few pieces of information do seem somewhat disturbing, such as the note that between 1910 and 1930, there was "an increase of less than 1/20 of one percent [of the Negro population], while the white population increased more than 27% in the two decades." Apparently the Mississippi Board of Development was proud of this statistic and thought it represented "momentous achievement" and/or "progress" pertaining to the state. 5.5-in. x 8.5-in.; black and white (actually printed on light green paper); 48 pages; heavier card-stock cover; no date (1940s?).
