Sometimes listed as A1 Comics (1944 Life's Romances) #40. Part of A1 Comics, an anthology from Magazine Enterprises with content that varied from month to month. This issue featured military humor in the style of Beetle Bailey. "Dogface" was a slang term for US infantry troops in WWII. Dogface Dooley tries to sneak away from a training exercise to hang out with his girlfriend Carol, the general's daughter. Dogface dons a dress to sneak off base for the weekend.
