Written by Chris Charlton, the owner of Assailant Comics, Black of Heart tells the dark and gripping if somewhat predictable story of a homicide detective in the last forties. A much used premise. A much used era. A much used genre. But Black of Heart is by no means bad. Since the crime/drama genre was popularized (especially in the last five to ten years), it seems like every murder mystery plot has been exhausted. 28 pages, B&W with partial color.
