This map was sent with best wishes for a Merry Christmas in the winter of 1943 and was a supplement to help those at home follow the events of World War II during the year of 1944. The book unfolds out into several detailed maps of Europe, the Mediterranean, North Africa, the Pacific Ocean, and the Aleutian Islands (a chain of islands extending in a westward arc from Alaska).
