    Superfuel for Superplanes (1946) 1946

Superfuel for Superplanes was distributed by Standard Oil. Art by "Plastic Man" artist Al Plastino. The history of gas development and production is told as a former WW1 Fighter pilot talks with a younger jet airplane test-pilot who had flown planes powered with high-octane gasoline engine while fighting the Axis. Hitler, Tojo and Mussolini appearances. This comic is an excellent post-war promotional comic in which, understandably, former enemies Germany and Japan are not depicted in a positive light. This comic is large in size (super-golden age size), full color, 16 pages including covers, all newsprint.
