Shydeman and Shyrendora are able to weaken Lord Lykouleon's protective shield beyond the breaking point and attack the castle. As the demons attack, Rath begins the process of reviving Nadil, which involves cutting off his own head. Cesia, Kai-stern and the rest of the Dragon court work to bring Rath back, but only a sacrifice from within their ranks will revive the fallen Dragon Knight.

Nohiro and three faerie companions travel to the lost continent of Arinas and discover Kharl's castle. A homicidal Garfakcy, plans to revive Kharl, and an imprisoned Tintletl. In Draqueen, Rath learns that Cesia has been captured by Nadil and begins to work on a plan to rescue her.
