This early romance comic from Fawcett had particularly complex plots to go with the tears and kisses. Engaged to Don, Lissa is swept off her feet by a chance encounter with self-described "wealthy playboy" Toby. A snap wedding is only one of the plot twists in a story with art by Marc Swayze. Garment worker Frank gets mistaken for wealthy Bill and plays along for the benefit of Bill's friends, but the prank turns serious when he gets romantically involved with Celia. Eileen returns to her hometown after years away, and becomes determined to steal back ex Tom from his fiancee Mary. Vol. 2 #4 - Spring 1952. Science Fantasy, which later became Impulse and then SF Impulse, was a UK published science-fiction and fantasy digest that began production in the Summer of 1950 and was distributed by Nova Publications as a companion to Nova's New Worlds. When Nova went out of business in early 1964, The title was changed to Impulse in early 1966, to little avail, and then changed once more to SF Impulse for the last few issues. Science Fantasy ceased publication the following year, after the printer went bankrupt. Edited by John Carnell. Stories by A. Bertram Chandler, John Christopher and others. Priding itself as a source for exclusive behind the scenes stories about filmmaking, Silver Screen also contained a fair amount of articles about celebrities, their relationships, the latest in fashion, and film reviews.
