Published Mar 1964 by Charlton Comics Group.$2.50
Cover by Dick Giordano. Stories and art by Bill Molno, Dick Giordano, Jack Keller, Charles Nicholas and Vince Alascia. Combat takes to the skies in the airborne incarnation of Charlton's Fightin' military series. In a story reminiscent of the movie "Dr. Strangelove," a rogue colonel flies a nuclear-armed SAC bomber toward Washington. Richards' reconnaissance aircraft is the only hope for a destroyer group outgunned by an Axis carrier in the Pacific. A story that connects military budget cuts with Communist sympathizers in the US government demonstrates Cold War attitudes of the era. Clay Pigeon; High Cost of Living; The Last Mission; Warrior Wang; They Also Serve; Demonstration Flight. 32 pages, Full Color. Cover price $0.12.
