This allows him to swim without tanks and dive to the ocean depths, where he meets the undersea society of the beautiful Elysse, in a story written by legendary sci-fi and comics scribe Gardner Fox. Merman investigates Lobster Island, where a disfigured mad scientist commands an army of gigantic, genetically-engineered crustaceans to do his bidding.
