1st printing.
Based on the Story by George Lucas. Adapted by Donald F. Glut. Art and cover by Ralph McQuarrie.
It has been a few months since the destruction of the Death Star. Luke Skywalker and the Rebel Alliance are in hiding on the remote ice world of Hoth. However, the Imperial Empire led by Darth Vader, soon locates them and the Rebels are scattered in all directions with dark forces in hot pursuit.
Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back is considered by many to be the darkest and best chapter in the Star Wars Saga.
The delightful sketches used to illustrate this book are by Ralph McQuarrie. As conceptual artist for The Empire Strikes Back, McQuarrie was responsible for developing the exciting designs for many of the vehicles, creatures, settings, and characters seen in the film.
