The most unusual story in this issue is a rare Little Nemo in Slumberland strip drawn by Bob McCay (son of original Nemo artist Winsor McCay) in which Nemo is a Buck Rogers-like teen helping Slumberland battle Mercurian invaders! Revived in modern times, ancient mystic Hale the Magician uses his powers and his magical spearhead to battle evil. Rocketman invents the helicopter a few years early, but gangster Killer Craci wants the invention for himself. Classic cover by Gus Ricca has the cartoonist being killed by his own spy cartoons. Punch the puppet swipes a fancy-dress suit and some cash from Uncle Tony, and crashes Mrs. Van Blimp's high-society party. Bucky the Mule gets three wishes from a genie, but as usual he pushes his luck a little too far. A rare funny animal strip - Simon and Kirby's first funny-animal work ever - Rover The Rascal, produced at roughly the same time as their crime comics.     Kids' comics from Hillman, featuring mischievous puppet Punch and his human friend Judy. Punch converts the dishwasher into a robot cleaning machine, but a robotic rampage is inevitable. Colonial New Yorker Bummer employs a Trojan Horse gambit to stop his fellow Dutch colonists from stealing furs from the Native Americans. Cappy encounters Crocodile Sam, who shrinks ships and seals them in bottles. Both these latter stories feature artwork possibly by EC legend Bernie Krigstein.
