"Night of the Dragon" Part 1 of 2. Guest-starring Spider-Man and Iron Fist. Script by Chris Claremont. Pencils by John Byrne. Inks by Dave Hunt. Cover by Dave Cockrum and Frank Giacoia. While Peter Parker is inside the Rand House shooting a photo-spread for the Daily Bugle, Danny Rand receives a written challenge from the Steel Serpent for a duel to the death! When Iron Fist abruptly cancels the photo shoot, Peter becomes suspicious that something is wrong. Meanwhile Misty Knight, who is currently working undercover, learns from Bushmaster that the site of the showdown is Inwood Park. And amidst the gentle trees overlooking the Hudson River, Iron Fist and the powerful Steel Serpent wage a savage fight for survival! Unfortunately though, the battle goes poorly for the Living Weapon. Will Spider-Man and Misty Knight arrive at the park in time to help him...or mourn him? First 35¢ issue. (Notes: This story bridges the gap between Iron Fist 15 (published in September 1977) and Power Man 48 (published in December 1977). This two-part story was reprinted in Marvel Tales 197 and 198. The letters page includes a letter from comics writer Mike Barr.) 32 pages Cover price $0.35.
