When the Modular Man and Killer Shrike steal a cutting edge Microwave Cellular Condensor from Empire State University Technology Exposition, the Amazing Spider-Man and the blue-furred Beast must battle the two villains atop the Empire State Building, before the Modular Man absorbs enough microwave energy (from cable TV antennas) to become a god! Will the web-slinger and the off-duty Avenger scramble his signal? This issue was reprinted in Marvel Tales 240. Notes: Killer Shrike's next appearance is in Spectacular Spider-Man 57. The letters page replies (by Chris Claremont) indicate that there was another story written and drawn for the 24th issue of the Ms. Marvel (1st) series.
