In the year 1999, a spaceship crashed on earth, triggering a world war. After the war, the ship was discovered and rebuilt as the Super Dimensional Fortress SDF-1. Soon, the original owners of the ship, known as the Zentraedi, would lay claim to it, and Earth would be embroiled in yet another war - this time of galactic proportions.
