Dell Movie Classics presented comics based on Hollywood films (not all of them classics). This issue is based on the 1967 John Wayne Western directed by Howard Hawks. When a fight over water rights erupts into war between two ranches, a sheriff and his friend, a retired gunfighter, become reluctantly involved. The film was the middle entry in Hawks' Western trilogy that included Rio Bravo and Rio Lobo. Art by future Batman artist Jim Aparo. 32 pages, Full Color. Cover price $0.12.
