This is a replica reprint of Fame and Fortune Magazine (1928-1929 Street & Smith) Pulp Vol. 25 #4.
A complete replica of an incredibly scarce pulp with a nebulous character who haunts Wall Street, from writer Frank S. Lawton!
Fame and Fortune Magazine was a short-lived pulp by Street & Smith, the publisher of The Shadow and Doc Savage. Although credited as possibly being the inspiration for Street & Smith's hero character, The Shadow, this story doesn't have anything whatsoever to do with The Shadow outside of using a name. More hype than reality!
This doesn't take away from the fact that this magazine is so scarce that only a small handful of copies are known to exist!
Softcover, 48 pages, Text (with B&W chapter illustrations).
NOTE: Do NOT confuse with Fame and Fortune Magazine (1928-1929 Street & Smith) Pulp Vol. 25 #4.

1st printing. Story and art by Fabian Gregoire. Jessie is familiar with small seaplanes. After all, she was born in one eleven years ago, and her father makes his living flying them over the forests and lakes of Canada's Northwest Coast. She has been aboard on many flights but this one was different. It was a routine trip until an engine caught fire and Jessie's father was forced to ditch the plane in Petrel Channel. Soon they hear the sound of another seaplane, a "Norseman", which has come to the rescue. Everyone boards the plane but it's a tight squeeze. There is an extra, very large passenger: a grizzly bear. It is tranquilized at the moment but as the plane takes off and the bear begins to stir, the zoo director accompanying the animal admits that perhaps he didn't administer enough sedative! Hardcover, 8-in. x 11-in., 48 pages, full color. Cover price $18.95.

1st printing. Written by Daniel Marrone. Art and cover by Seth. At once familiar and hard to place, the work of acclaimed Canadian cartoonist Seth evokes a world that no longer exists - and perhaps never existed, except in the panels of long-forgotten comics. Seth's distinctive drawing style strikingly recalls a bygone era of cartooning, an apt vehicle for melancholy, gently ironic narratives that depict the grip of the past on the present. Forging the Past offers a comprehensive account of this work and the complex interventions it makes into the past. Seth's comics are suffused with longing for the past, but on close examination this longing is revealed to be deeply ambivalent, ironic, and self-aware. Softcover, 6-in. x 9-in., 208 pages, Text (with B&W Illustrations). Cover price $60.00.
