Picture Play Magazine, originally titled Picture-Play Weekly was an American weekly published magazine centered around the movie industry during the golden-age of Hollywood. It was one of the earliest published tabloid style magazines that focused on celebrity gossip, but also included behind-the-scenes content, and movie reviews. It was first published on April 10, 1915, and ultimately transitioned from a weekly to a monthly publication before the end of it's production run in late 1941 after merging with Charm Magazine. Cover price $0.25.

Screen Book was a monthly published American magazine that ran from July,1928 to February, 1940, and was centered around the golden-age of Hollywood. In addition to celebrity gossip, it also included a fair amount of exclusive behind-the-scenes content as well as movie reviews, latest fashions, make up tips, and slice-of-life human interest stories that were usually written by, or about a specific celebrity of the time. Cover price $0.15.
