However the man of wonder and the mutant sorceress have been avengers for a very long time. They are resourceful, brave, and determined. Perhaps if one of them could escape, the Avengers' comeback vs. the Conqueror would begin! Cameo appearances by the Human Torch, Mr. Fantastic, Thing, Darkhawk, She-Hulk, Spider-Man, and Wolverine. Flashback cameo by the Wasp to revisit the formal surrender to Kang at the end of Avengers #49. (Notes: This issue includes a 2-page text tribute to mark the passing of legendary Avengers artist John Buscema.
